Grace Abounds

Recently, I heard a sermon on how grace abounds. It’s one of those truths that I know in my brain, but my heart has trouble remembering. I feel guilt and shame, even after I have confessed and repented. I feel at times that God is disappointed with me.

Paul writes in Romans 5:1-2, “Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith in this grace which we now stand.”

Yes, grace abounds. Our God sees us as Jesus, and loves us more than we can even begin to understand and comprehend here.

However, we can test our hearts by our response to grace. If we are responding with the truth in our minds, we will have this peace he talks about.

Challenges for today:

  1. Read Romans 5:1-2. What words stand out to you?
  2. What are your thoughts after your repent from a sin? Does grace truly abound in your life?
  3. Where are you struggling to find peace right now? If it’s from a sin, I would encourage you to repent, and remember the truth from His Word.
