God is faithful, which almost seems ironic, as it always seems like we are supposed to be faithful to Him. He’s literally sacrificed everything for us, and we in turn have struggled to believe in Him.
We practice this every time we doubt, question, worry, and try to take control of our situations or circumstances. We practice our unfaithfulness when we treat someone without love. We practice our unfaithfulness to him in so many other ways.
He never changes; He is faithful. He’s faithful to allow the sun to rise and set every morning. He’s faithful to always be present despite pain or joy that we may be experiencing in our lives. We see His promises throughout Scripture:
Exodus 14:14 – “The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.”
Deut. 31:8 – “The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”
Jer. 29:11 – “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Today, thank God for His faithfulness. Praise Him for it, and confess where you need to have more faith in Him.
