God is beautiful. Did you know that? I often think of God just as a Father. My father is manly, and strong. I don’t think of him as “beautiful”, but God has that characteristic. He created the world. He created us in His image. He is beauty.
Stop and look at some of these photos:
In Psalm 27:4-5, the psalmist writes,
“One thing I ask from the Lord,
this only do I seek:
that I may dwell in the house of the Lord
all the days of my life,
to gaze on the beauty of the Lord
and to seek him in his temple.
For in the day of trouble
he will keep me safe in his dwelling;
he will hide me in the shelter of his sacred tent
and set me high upon a rock.
6Then my head will be exalted
above the enemies who surround me;
at his sacred tent I will sacrifice with shouts of joy;
I will sing and make music to the Lord.”
Spend some time today reflecting on the beauty of the Lord. Ask Him to show you how beautiful He is. Praise Him for how creative He is with His beauty, and for how He made you.
