The Beauty of Creation

Sometimes in the midst of chaotic weeks, we just need to sit, be still, and remember who God is, and where He’s working. This week, fall has finally truly arrived, and the trees are starting to look a little like this:

Sometimes it takes my breath away to remind me that God created all these colors, and all these seasons. This is only a fragment of what we will see as beauty in Heaven.

Read Psalm 8:

1 Lord, our Lord,
how majestic is your name in all the earth!

You have set your glory
    in the heavens.
Through the praise of children and infants
you have established a stronghold against your enemies,
to silence the foe and the avenger.
When I consider your heavens,
    the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars,
which you have set in place,
what is mankind that you are mindful of them,
human beings that you care for them?

You have made them a little lower than the angels
and crowned them with glory and honor.
You made them rulers over the works of your hands;
you put everything under their feet:
all flocks and herds,
and the animals of the wild,
the birds in the sky,
and the fish in the sea,
all that swim the paths of the seas.

Lord, our Lord,
how majestic is your name in all the earth!

I don’t know about you, but it blows me away thinking about how God created me in His image. He created you in His image too. We are special in all creation because of that.

Today, praise God for His creation, and how He shows us part of who He is through it, and praise Him for how He made you. Confess where you might be struggling to believe that, or where you might be believing lies about your body today.
